PASTOR ANSELM MVENGE


The founding member of the Christian Healing Ministry for All Nations, the Rev. and Pastor Pardon Gift. A. Mvenge was trained and ordained in the Anglican Church. He did Theological training at the United Theological College which is a Ecumenical Theological College in Harare where he successfully obtained a four year Diploma in Theology from 1993 to 1996. Rev. and Pastor Pardon Gift A. Mvenge also studied for the University of Zimbabwe Diploma in Religious Studies which he also obtained at the same time as he studied for his Diploma in Theology. Rev.

Pardon Gift. A. Mvenge was awarded a scholarship to study for a Masters Degree in Pastoral studies at the University of Birmingham in England from 1999 to 2000. Following his Ordination first as Deacon and then as Priest in the Anglican Diocese of Manicaland, Rev. Pardon Gift. A. Mvenge was appointed first as the Diocesan Finance Officer and then promoted to the position of Diocesan Secretary and Treasurer. Rev.

Pardon Gift Mvenge was also designated as Marriage Officer with effect from 16
th June 1997. In 2002 Rev. Mvenge joined the Anglican Diocese of Central Zimbabwe where he was appointed in the same year to the position of Dean of the Cathedral as well as Archdeacon of Gweru and Shurugwi. Rev. P.G.A. Mvenge always had a passion to address the deeper needs of people at heart. In no time many people started to come seeking for counseling and guidance from him from the different parts of the country and abroad and some communicating with him by e-mail. Rev. P.G. Also sat on the ecumenical Board of the Zimbabwe Theological Education by Extension where he was both Tutor and Examiner for Theological students. He was also the Treasurer of the same organization until the time of his resignation from the Anglican Diocese. In 2006, with the blessing of the Anglican Bishop of the Diocese of Central Zimbabwe, Rev. Mvenge resigned from his position of Dean and Archdeacon of the St. Cuthbert’s Cathedral and Shurugwi Archdeaconry in order to concentrate full time on Pastoral work in line with his training at Birmingham University.

From 2007 the Christian Healing Ministry for all Nations Church was founded comprising of Rev. P.G.A. Mvenge, his wife Grace and children and a small group of people who were less than ten in number. The first Church services were held at their rented house in Gweru. Later on Rev. Mvenge secured a place to conduct Church services at the Chaplin High School Chapel were the school authorities also asked him to conduct services for students once per month. People started to come from the different parts of the country every Sunday to attended services. Information was just being passed on by those who would have been blessed at the services.
